  • Chinese Doctor Advises Women To Look At Muscular Men For Mood Boost, Internet Calls It “Eye Candy Therapy”

To help regulate the physical and mental state of such women, the doctor recommended using “visual pleasure” as a remedy.

A Chinese doctor has sparked laughter online after suggesting that women who lack energy or suffer from blood deficiencies should look at muscular men to boost their mood and relieve stress. According to the South China Morning Post, the lighthearted advice comes from He Zhenye, a gynaecologist at Huazhong University of Science and Technology Xiehe Shenzhen Hospital. In a video going viral on Chinese social media, he publicly recommended that “women should look at muscular men more often to relieve stress”.

According to SCMP, Dr He has over 133,000 followers on a popular Chinese platform, where he regularly shares professional insights on women’s health and gynaecological care. His profile states that he specialises in the standardised diagnosis and treatment of common benign gynaecological conditions and gynaecological tumours.

In his recent video, Dr He explained that women with vital energy and blood deficiencies frequently experience low moods and high stress levels. So, to help regulate the physical and mental state of such women, he recommended using “visual pleasure” as a remedy.

His advice includes reducing emotional strain through “avoiding excessive romantic relationships” and increasing positive visual stimulation by “looking at more muscular men”.

According to the outlet, Dr He explained that doing so can simulate dopamine production in the brain, which helps alleviate stress and lift a person’s mood. “Avoid falling in love too often. Watch more muscular men instead,” he said in the clip.

“When your qi (vital energy) and blood are deficient, you are often too lethargic, too tired to talk, and your skin may look dull. You might also experience dizziness and insomnia. That does not bring the right conditions for romance. However, watching muscular men makes things different. Seeing something beautiful activates the brain’s reward system and releases dopamine, making us feel happier,” Dr He said.

Further, he explained that several studies have shown visual pleasure can boost mood and reduce stress, especially for women struggling with poor sleep or fatigue from overwork. “So, ladies with qi and blood deficiency, scroll freely and enjoy. Relax your mind and restore your energy. For your health, indulge a little!” he said.

The gynaecologist has triggered laughter and supportive comments online with his unconventional advice. While some agreed with the doctor’s unconventional advice, others suggested that images of muscular men may evoke vitality and strength, and provide a psychological boost.

“We need less emotional burnout and more eye candy! His suggestion should be part of every modern women’s wellness guide!’” wrote one user. “This doctor gets it! Visual enjoyment plus emotional uplift equals ‘eye candy therapy’, I am all in,” commented another.

  • OpenAI Co-Founder’s Doomsday Bunker Plan for AGI Apocalypse Revealed

OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever is wary of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), capable of surpassing the cognitive abilities of humans.

OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever once proposed building a doomsday bunker that could protect the company’s top researchers in case of an end-of-the-world “rapture” triggered by the release of a new form of artificial intelligence (AI), popularly referred to as Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), capable of surpassing the cognitive abilities of humans.

The revelation has been made by Karen Hao in her upcoming book Empire of AI: Dreams and Nightmares in Sam Altman’s OpenAI. Mr Sutskever, long regarded as the brains behind ChatGPT, made the comment during a meeting with key scientists at the company in 2023.

“Once we all get into the bunker…” said Mr Sutskever, only to be interrupted by a confused colleague: “I’m sorry, the bunker?”

To which he replied: “We’re definitely going to build a bunker before we release AGI.”

As per the book’s excerpts, published in The Atlantic, it wasn’t the first and only time that Mr Sutskever broached the topic. Two other sources told Ms Hao that Mr Sutskever regularly referenced the bunker in internal discussions.

    Society not ready for AGI

This is not the first instance when a top-level executive, working to build AI models, has sounded the alarm about the future of AGI. Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis has already warned that society is not ready for AGI.

I think we are on the cusp of that. Maybe we are five to 10 years out. Some people say shorter, I wouldn’t be surprised,” said Mr Hassabis when quizzed about the timeline of AGI becoming a reality.

“It’s a sort of like probability distribution. But it’s coming, either way it’s coming very soon and I’m not sure society’s quite ready for that yet. And we need to think that through and also think about these issues that I talked about earlier, to do with the controllability of these systems and also the access to these systems and ensuring that all goes well,” he added.

The 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry winner has previously called for the establishment of a UN-like umbrella organisation to oversee AGI’s development.

    What is AGI?

AGI takes AI a step further. While AI is task-specific, AGI aims to possess intelligence that can be applied across a wide range of tasks, similar to human intelligence. In essence, AGI would be a machine with the ability to understand, learn, and apply knowledge in diverse domains, much like a human being.

  • Why Qutub Minar’s 1,600-Year-Old Iron Pillar Is Still Rust-Free? Scientists Explain

A 2003 study by IIT-Kanpur scientists revealed the secret behind the iron pillar’s pristine condition.

An iron pillar placed in the UNESCO-listed Qutub Minar complex in New Delhi has long fascinated scientists for surviving over 1,600 years without rust. Standing tall at 7.2 metres and weighing six tonnes, the iron pillar predates the complex it resides.

Despite its long history, the iron pillar with inscriptions dedicated to Chandragupta Vikramaditya of the Gupta Empire, as per the Archaeological Survey of India, has remained in pristine condition. Usually, iron and iron alloy structures exposed to moisture oxidise over time, leading to a coating of rust, unless they are protected by layers of special paint.

So why does the iron pillar not rust?

Scientists in India and abroad started investigating the mystery in 1912. Murray Thompson from Roorkee Engineering College and Percy from the School of Mines conducted chemical analysis of the structure and established that it was wrought iron of specific gravity 7.66.

However, it wasn’t until 2003 that a study by researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Kanpur figured out the real engineering secret behind the structure.

The study findings revealed that the pillar is primarily made of wrought iron, having a high phosphorus content (approximately one per cent). Additionally, a thin layer of “misawite”, a compound of iron, oxygen and hydrogen, was also found on the pillar’s surface.

“In summary, the microstructural and compositional inhomogeneities of the Delhi pillar iron do not have any influence on the protective passive film that forms on the surface. The deciding factor this is imparting the excellent corrosion resistance is the high phosphorus content of the Delhi pillar iron,” the study highlighted.

Unlike modern irons, the structure lacks sulfur and magnesium, with ancient craftsmen using a technique called “forge-welding” to construct the iron pillar. In this technique, the iron is heated and hammered, which keeps the high phosphorus content intact — a method relatively unseen in modern practices.

Archeo-metallurgist R Balasubramaniam, who authored the report, added that this unconventional approach contributed to the pillar’s strength which has endured for centuries.

  • Indian-Origin Tesla Executive Earned Record-Breaking $139.5 Million In 2024, Surpassing Pichai And Nadella

The electric carmaker’s finance chief, Vaibhav Taneja, received a pay package of $139 million last year.

The 47-year-old has been part of Tesla since 2017, holding several financial leadership positions.

Vaibhav Taneja, an Indian-origin executive and Tesla’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since 2023, reportedly earned a whopping $139 million in 2024, The Wall Street Journal reported. This figure, driven primarily by stock options and equity awards granted after his promotion, dwarfs his base salary of $400,000 and surpasses the earnings of prominent tech CEOs like Microsoft’s Satya Nadella and Google’s Sundar Pichai.

In 2024, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s compensation package was $79.106 million, while Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai took home $10.73 million, according to the company’s 2025 Proxy Statement.Mr Taneja’s salary of $139 million eclipsed both Nadella’s and Pichai’s, making headlines as potentially the highest pay for a finance chief in decades.

Mr Taneja, 47, who joined Tesla in 2017, benefited from a rising stock price, with shares near $250 at the time of the award, vesting over four years. By May 19, 2025, Tesla’s stock reached approximately $342, despite the company facing declining EV deliveries and profits. This package outstrips the prior CFO record of $86 million set by Nikola’s CFO in 2020, before its 2024 bankruptcy.

    Why It Matters?

This substantial pay package comes at a pivotal moment for Tesla, as the electric vehicle (EV) industry faces significant hurdles, including declining deliveries, shrinking profit margins, and intensified competition. Mr Taneja’s compensation has also drawn attention amid broader scrutiny of Tesla’s financial strategies and executive pay practices.

Tesla’s co-founder and CEO, Elon Musk, is currently appealing a Delaware court ruling that voided his $56 billion compensation package, one of the largest in corporate history. Musk argues that his payout was justified, as it fueled Tesla’s extraordinary growth, transforming it into a global leader in EVs and renewable energy.

    About Vaibhav Taneja

Born in India, Mr Taneja holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Delhi University (1999) and is a qualified Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (2000) and a Certified Public Accountant (2006). He joined Tesla in 2017, from SolarCity, a solar energy company that Tesla acquired in 2016, where he originally served as vice president and later corporate controller and led the successful integration of both companies’ accounting teams.

Before SolarCity, Taneja spent 17 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers, rising to Senior Manager in Assurance. He is also a director at Tesla India Motors and Energy Private Limited, supporting Tesla’s India expansion. With over two decades of experience in finance, accounting, and multinational operations, Taneja plays a key role in Tesla’s financial strategy and global growth.
